Default Problems with 1997 Range Rover stereo!

Hey everyone, friend of mine has 1997 Range Rover and the heater core went out. He took it to a reputable body shop and they had to take out the complete dash. The job was finished and they entered the security code , the radio came on but no sound! No matter what you push or turn there is no sound, we have checked all connections and fuses. Has anyone had any exp. with something like this before? Thank you.

Id just take it back to the shop! They probably nicked a wire or something back behind the dash.

That'd be my guess as well. If you got the code right, and it was working before, they should at least make sure they didn't cause the problem.

My stereo threw this code when a cd got stuck between the storage cassette and the play deck. I had to strip it apart and pry it out.
You might also just try removing and replacing the cassette to reset the micro switch.
