Default Programming a P38 remote.

Anyone know how the hell to do this!? I've called the dealership, the method they gave me didn't work. I've also found some instructions online, only to find there wrong too. They all seem to be headed down the same path of putting the key in the door, pushing a button on the remote, and then turning the key and holding it for several seconds. Anyone have a clue how to do this?

Do you need to re-sync it, or are you programming a new one, if you are programming a new one i think the dealer has to do that.

Here is what the OEM Shop Manual says to do:
1. Exit Vehicle.
2. Lock Doors Using Key (Key Must Be Removed Within 5 Seconds)
3. Push New Remote Button 3 Times (Must Be Done Within 5 Seconds Of Removing Key/During Rapid LED Blink Period).
4. Lights Should Flash To Indicate Acceptance Of New Remote.

I haven't been able to get it to work either.
I however have never had a remote for my vehicle.
Good Luck!

if another key works then its either the dud key or bad battery in it if thats not the case then t-4 and check security health function either a becm or a bad key transmitter however I have seen antenna amps for security fail and come disconnected need t-4
