Default Range Rover HSE stops in road

We just purchased the Range Rover HSE model two weeks ago and we have 600 miles on it. Today my wife was driving it on a 4 hour road trip, first trip. 1 hour into the trip on a busy two lane road the car completely cut off in the middle of the road and would not crank. Could not be opus he’d out of the way. Thank goodness friends were close by or she could have been hurt. We could only move it after jumping it off maybe 10 different times and pulling it off the road. It kept cutting off completely powerless. Have others heard of this?

Sounds like a battery issue. It is helpful to let people know what year as well. To assist more information is better

2020 and would a battery just short out? And why does the car just stop. Why would it not coast a while. Ive already heard from two others that have said this has happened to them.

Battery is the broader sense of the charging system and yes a system shorting out or going down could shut the whole vehicle down.

Does the EPB engage in shut down? Is it a evoque, sport or full size?
