Smile Range Rover Sport Battery

I shall not be using my Range Rover Sport for three months. Land Rover handbook says that to charge the battery, it must be removed from the vehicle. If the car is locked and unused for three months, will the battery still be OK to start the vehicle ?

why don't you put a "battery tender" on it, they are cheap and will keep the battery charged

Thanks drowssap. I'll probably do that, but the car is new and the handbook specifically says that the battery should not be charged without removing it. I am concerned about invalidating the warranty.
