Default Real MPG vs. Computer

I decided to test my computer stated MPG vs. a manual calculation (inspired by Disco Mike) just to see how they compared.

I reset my Consumption 2 after filling and noted the miles. Once I used the tank I calculated the miles driven and divided by the gallons. The result: 15.8 MPG Actual 17.1 MPG Computer Stated

I plan to do it a couple more times but it was interesting to see the actual numbers. It did makes sense since 17.1 mpg seemed a little high for a heavy SUV shaped like a brick.

lol @ "heavy SUV shaped brick"

I reset my comsump 2 and over time it worked its way back to my average ... I'm kinda curious how well I do, but at the same time, when I drive to school (up a hill) & watch the needle go down, I don't want to know.
