Default Rear wiper

Does the BECM control the rear wiper, the dealer says it does and they want to replace the BECM to get it to work, sounds fishy to me TIA

I think they are right but there is an easy way to check. Use a hot wire and go directly to the rear wiper motor, if it works you need a computer, if it doesn't there is a good chance you smaoked your wiper motor.

ok 2nd question, i saw that the rear wiper part of the BeCM controls other things, wouldn't those things not work if it was the computer?

Well the reason i asked is the dealer said that the motor was seized, and he could change it for 200-300 dollars, and not guarantee any thing. or change the BeCM for 1600, i just said screw it. Thanks for your input though

So use a jumper wire and jump the wiper motor with a hot wire and see if it runs, this will give you better idea if the motor or the BECU is bad.

So I am assuming that when he junped the wiper motor it didn't work. If that is the case, time for a new motor, if the motor works it is time for a BECU. May want to start looking for a good used one o the web.
