does it cost alot to buy or fix parts for it? just wondering cause im thinking of buying a preowned 2002 4.6 Rover cuzz i heard lotsa bad things bout it just wanted to see what you guys think, school a newb on this stuff

Sorry, can't really help you, but since nobody else has responded I'd just like to say that that is a drop dead gorgeous car.

I hear bad things about them too though, so I dunno.

 

I know that the older models were an electrical nightmare. That one looks like its cousin Vinny. Parts are very expensive. Finding parts is a pain in the butt. You can't go to your neighborhood super auto part store to find parts. Finding a good mechanic that knows how to repair it, is close to impossible. Watch out for those extended warranties that seem to cover nothing when something expensive breaks.

 

Parts and repairs are expensive. if you buy get an extended warrenty, and look a specifics of what it will cover. be warned if the dealer sells you one make sure what you are getting. check the faq section as far as common problems. The most reliable information you can have on the rover is proof of the maintainence on the vehicle. If they don't have the records, stay away. It is a nightmare to have a bad rover.
