Default Stereo unlock

I have a 99 RR HSE and I have done a search and read all the unlocking things to do but none are working for me. I tried the turning key into position 1 and leave it for a hour and a half entering the code I got from dealer didnt work.

So my question is this: On the screen it says 1632 not "code" like the other posters say they see. Does anyone know what "1632" means?

When I bought my 99 4.0 Range Rover it said CODE IN...
I got the code from my dealer but it didn't work until I left the radio turned onduring a trip from Charleston, SCto Florida...after about 2 hours of leaving the radio turned on I entered the code and it worked! I really enjoyed the rest of that trip!
I never saw 1632 displayed though.

hey my 96 range rover was doing the same thing, my dealer told me the code was 3211 and it worked, and you dont have to wait an hour for the code to reset, just hold dont the BND button next to the MODE button for about 10 sec, the put that code in. it works for mine everytime. when u get in the car. hold the button down for 10 sec then put in 3211. you dont have to hold down the button every time, just only when you put the wrong code in or reset the code. like i said it works for mine but my rover is a 96. just give it a try and tell me if it works.

Roverboy3766 you are AWESOME!!! I held the "band" button down for like three seconds and it displayed "code in" and tried your code first no dice. tried it again with my code and BAM! stereo came on

So thanks a million brother I was going crazy driving around with my ipod headphones on while driving.
