stock range rover question

stock range rover question
So i keep reading about this "center diff lock" can't seem to find any info on it.. did the range rovers come with them if so how do i tell if mine has one.. and what are those wierd circle shaped discs mounted off to the side at the each end of my driveline ?

Range Rovers use Viscous coupling
