Default Sunroof Not Set??

Help,

I have a 1998 4.6 HSE. Recently the sunroofsunshade was shut and jammed into the headliner. When I went to open the sunroof, not knowing this, the display read "Sunroof Not Set." The sunroof only opened a couple of inches and stoppedbut then I was able to free the sunshade and now it works fine but the message still appears. Does anyone know how to set the sunroof and get the message to stop appearing?

Thanks,

Jeff

Default RE: Sunroof Not Set??

I was able to fix it by running the sunroof closed and holding the switch down for 2-3 seconds. Then ran it open and held the switch down again. The computer then beeped and said windom set.

All fixed,

Jeff

It's in your manual!

But, in case you don't have one, the step is the same for the sunroof, and all windows. With the sunroof closed, just hold down open, once it's done opening, immediately rock the switch back to close position, and hold till closed.

Same as flyplanes said, but...no need to hold it down for extra time..that usually causes my attempt to fail
