Soft faults can be problematic.
If it's defaulting to max hight the EAS ECU may think the vehicle has become stuck. If this is the case it will go to the max setting to clear the "obstacle".
Check for loose wires on sensors. Also i'd check the 35 pin connector under the seat. There is some stuff on the net http://www.falconworks.net/EAS/ that there was an assembly problem with the connectors during their manufacture (the jigs were not straight or some such thing) and that the pins can get out of alignment...
Personally, I wouldn't drive it in it's current condition so as to prevent any further problems. And because it's not all the safe to drive in the extended height profile (especially on the highway).

The sensors are mounted under teh chasis. One for each wheel. The potentiometers are linked to the front radius arms and rear trailing links. Pretty sure there's a diagram in RAVE.
