Default Suspension Trouble 96 RR

Hello again,

I'm having trouble with the suspension on my 96 RR 4.6 HSE. When turning the car on, it starts up and all four lights are lit up on the ride height indicator and the sign of the car with the up arrow stays on. The car height is very low with no height and very bouncy.

We did pull a code that said Output Shaft Speed Sensor. So when driving the car you have to start it in gear 1 and then shift up to drive after about 2500 rpm's.

Could this whole problem be connected to the Speed Sensor? Also got a message on the dash that said "slow: 35 mph max" and gear box fault. I am guessing the gearbox fault has to do with the sensor and the 35 mph is due the suspension.

I need help asap because I am headed back to school and would love to take this with me.

Thanks

Chad

No easy answer on the suspension without reading the faults. The air springs are deflated and your sitting on the bump stops. The message center reminds you to keep it under 35mph to be safe. Take it to an indy LR shop to read/reset the EAS. Or you can DIY with a laptop and a special OBDII/serial cable. Lots of info on rangerovers.net if you want to tackle it yourself.

You man have to repair/replace something, but no clue without reading the faults.

Good luck.
