Default Timing chain/Tensioner on 2010 RR HSE

I just got a quote of $3300 to change the timing chain and tensioner from my LR dealer. Is this right? Seems like so much..

On top of a quote to change the front right strut for $2100 (EAS was going nuts, it's leaking)

On top of quote to change my brakes again (just had them done less than 10 months ago, 10k miles by them)

On top of a quote for a wheel alignment for $500

Not happy.... The car is pristine, but ~9k if fixes for a truck with a book value of $17k. WTF??

You should shop eBay for the strut and replace that yourself. Search the web for a local independent with a Rover Master Tech; prices should be much lower @ Indy. Many people replace their own brake pads and any certified alignment garage will do a 4-wheel for around $100. LR dealer is the last place you want to go unless you are wealthy.
