Default Tire Size Question

Hi,

I have a 1998 Range Rover 4.6 HSE and the standard tire size is 255/55 R18. I want to put new tires on the truck but don't want the typical street performance tires that are available in this size. I want some aggressive all terrain or mud tires since I only drive this truck maybe 5K miles a year. The only tire I have found is the Nitto Terra Grappler in this size. Does anyone have any tires they can recommend or maybe a different size to go to that could offer more choices? The truck is in Ohio so it gets mud, snow, and street use. The truck is stock. No Lift.

Thanks,

Vredestein I put them on a Cayenne and they were excellent (same tire size) We got the wintrac version. The only winter tire I know of that has a 40k warranty.

I have been looking for replacement tires for my 06 RRS. Though the RRS tire size is 255/50/19 there has been a number of positive reviews for a replacement 255/55/19 Pirelli Scorpion ATR or the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R. The Goodyear has a very aggresive lug pattern for mud.
