Unhappy Transferbox neutral

I need some help please. I have a 2005 RR and i keep gettiing TRANSFERBOX NEUTRAL in the message center along with the standard beep. It happens for a split second then it stops. this happened to me last year for a day or two, then it stopped. But on my drive in to work, about 30 minutes it happend too many times to count. and atleast 4 times, the message poped up and stayed on for a minute or two. the truck drove fine, expect i could not put the truck in low gear when i got to a red light. sport and manual modes seemed to work fine. any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Are you still under warranty? I would get the codes read to make sure it isn't something more serious. Could be problems with the diff in which case it is potentially very dangerous. You definitely don't want to be driving and have the wheels lock up...

Best to get it checked in my opinion.

I'm out of warranty and the last time this happen no codes. I think it's a bad sensor or something. No problems this morning on the drive to work.

It is probably just a sensor, I hope the sensor isn't in the transfer case... Like Idivine said, It could be very serious, so I would have it checked out immediately.

Well, the L322 RR has an electronically controlled transmission, you might have turned off the transmission computer. May not cause damage at first, but it might decrease the life of it, and it will most likely not operate as efficiently. Its your rover, you don't have to listen to me . Just my 2 cents worth. You might have turned off some other component that really are not necessary, but I would try to figure out exactly what you turned off before leaving it that way.
