is it true that range rovers break down alot.
Recently I decided for my first car i'm going to get a 1996-2002 Range Rover, i mention it to one of my cousins and he claims they break down alot, i'm not sure if he was saying it out of jealously or if he is telling the truth but i need to know if it's true or not because this will be my first car so i need to know if its a good car to get.
so is it true if range rover's break down alot?

Do some reading through the Range Rover section...they can have some issues. Their great if you can stay ahead of the maintenance . If you're looking for a nice SUV you only have to fill up and change the oil, dont get a Range Rover.
The biggest problem on the P38 series that youre interested in is the Electronic Air Suspension. If the trucks got more than 80k miles, you're probably lookin at replacing the suspension if it hasnt been done yet. The only other advice is to be prepared for repair costs. Parts can get expensive.

I just purchased an '05 rr hse. All I can say is that it is the first of many I will own. I have had it for about a week and my wife and I love it. We are aware of the potential problems with Land Rovers, but once you drive one a bit all mthat goes away. Just try to get a comprehensive extended warranty. It might be pricey, mine was.I don't think I'm going off-road any time soon but i have always wanted to own a range rover and I love it.
