Default so I bought a p38a... have some questions

So I bought a p38 on Wednesday...

http://asheville.craigslist.org/cto/4295735702.htm

It has a good service history, but the owner didnt keep up the interior all that well. And i have a few questions:

1st) The steering column adjust mechanism failed on me. Looking into it, the pin slid out of the tilt and it feels like the cable has popped out of what ever it jooks into under the dash. Anyone have any history or tips on fixing this?

2nd) the digi hvac is all pixelated and stuff. Can any speedo place fix this or do I need to send it somewhere?

3rd) on the topic of hvac, it appears the compressor isnt kicking on. Checking the relays, several of them have been replace and the #7 position is showing stress in the box. How hard is this to fix yourself? Or again, can I order one from somewhere?

4) unlike my DII, at stoplights, i cant lift from the brake and expect it to "just sit there"... it wants to pull forward, or fight the brakes if you will. Is this typical, orddo I have some tranny control module issues?

Thanks!
hoop

Other than those repairs, I have some great plans for it... blutouth stereo, updated trim, refinished wheels, fresh tint a little trim paint and a good detail.

Then the wife gets to find mout about it
