Just bought an 04 FFRR HSE with 35k on it. Gray on Black. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. There is no substitute for the Range Rover experience. I got a smoking deal on mine. To me it is a milestone purchase which reinforces my desire to work hard so that I can give to my family and to myself, the best that the world has to offer. My wife drives an 08 Touareg and she is super jealous. Actually, I think that making my wife jealous is even better that my other reasons.

We got ours (all of 2 days ago) because neither of our cars could handle this winter. We had always done fine in the past (especially my IS300), but Vancouver, BC is getting a something of a ridiculous winter this year and I managed to get myself so completely stuck such that I needed to be pulled out via my tow hooks & some very nice people with a 4x4.

The Canadian winters are no joke but you will never be stuck again!

Sooo true. Unless you get really bad snow and ice. I didn't actually buy my first RR. They were far too expensive for me to consider at the time, not to mention it was next to impossible to find a used one. But a hand me down Rover from my grandfather made me a LR and RR enthusiast for life. Not to mention I imagine him everytime I see (or drive) a Rover since he drove a classic for as long as I could remember. Pretty sure it was a '75 or maybe a '72. Wish I had never gotten rid of that old beast but only two doors was quite a pain at times.

I was driving last year to Albany and was stuck in my E500 for over 12 hours aftre a snow storm had hit, I vowed then that I would get a good winter vehicle!

Fast forward to last week and 3 days of a Noreaster in Boston, it was a total mess blowing snow, cold temps, horrible conditions for driving Except for my 1997 Rangie, Un friggin believe-able how this thing just goes and goes, never got stuck and you feel so safe in it! It is so well behaved in the meanest weather.

I also love the "Old School" boxieness of the styling of this vehicle, now I know why people pay 70K plus for the versions!

It really is an amazing vehicle and pleasedI purchased one!

My wife wanted another SUV (I already had an '04 Disco) so she talked me into trading in her Jaguar S (Type R). Man, I miss that car! Besides, It would have been sacrilegious to install a tow hitch on a Jaguar (we have 3 jet-skis; PWCs). They don't pull themselves!

Haha it would be pretty funny to see a jag hauling. Wouldn't think they're very good for that kind of thing...
