Default Will I fit in the rover?

Hey Guys,

I am as brand new to this AS POSSIBLE.

I have a new job, and been dreaming about getting the car my dad drove when he was my age. He recently passed away, but I have photos of him in a 77 Range Rover. Fell in love with these pictures and the stories.

I have access to purchase a 93 Rover LWB.

ONE BIG QUESTION.

I am a big dude! Im 6'3" 250lbs with near a 38-40 waist!

Will I fit okay? Im worried my shoulders will be in the passenger seat, and I'll be squeezing out of the seat. Am I worrying too much?

The other question is, is a series 1 discovery any better?

Thanks gang, I greatly appreciate your wisdom.

Sam

it all comes down to whether you're long of leg or of torso.
I'm only 5'9" but have a really long torso. When I'm sitting down in an airplane seat for example, I look like a giant

In a Rover, this means that my head is real close to the headliner. In pretty much any car I drove I need to lower the seat height to the floor to be able to drive comfortably. You may find it a bit unsettling to not be able to see traffic signals if you're first in line at the light.

Other than that, this isn't a mini, you'll fit just fine.

I'm a big guy (6' and 250 pounds) and I love my DII. The only issue I have with it is the placement of the seat adjustment lever. It's on the inside right - mounted on the box between the 2 seats. Every so often the seatbelt hits it which pushes me forward into the steering wheel. THAT can be quite uncomfortable but typically only happens when I'm backing up. I'm sure I could adjust the seat so the seatbelt doesn't touch the adjustment lever. Otherwise I love it and there is plenty of head room. My torso and legs are about the same length lol.. somewhat evenly distributed. No issues with it today as I stayed home due to freezing rain. We had a nice window of warm weather this past week and I guess I got spoiled.. don't want to go outside now.

Enjoy your Range Rover - I'm jealous!!

So far at 250lbs, and 6'2", I have fit well in an 88 Classic Range, 96 D1, 96 P38 Range, and now a 2011 LR4. Fit well in MINIs too!!

There's clearly not a drop of Celtic blood in any of you
My head is brushing the headliner in the RRC with the seat at its lowest height.
