i have an annoying little dimple in the hood of my Discovery, and i was wondering if anyone had had any luck with a "Dent Puller", little claw-looking devices that you can buy at an autoparts store for short money.

 

If its the kind you've seen on TV, forget it. I bought one to pull a shallow dent on the rear quarter panel of my Disco 1 - followed the instructions to a T - cleaned the area with alcohol - right temperature - applied the 'glue' but the pedestal used to pull the dent pulls off before the dent moves. Save your money. Since its on the hood, and accessible from the inside, there's probably a local place that you can find that specializes in 'paintless dent repairs'. That's what I did - for $100 they did a perfect job - you couldn't even tell the dent was there. The use a tool to press it out from the inside.

 

The hood is too soft, it will need to be hammered out.
