Default 01 Disco Alarm System

Would anyone be able to tell me how to disarm my alarm system in my 01 Disco? I am in -50 weather and would like to lock my doors and leave my vehicle running. Alarm system seems to prevent this. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you can, and if it would be possible, it would take 2 keys/fobs, one to start the engine, one to lock and unlock and I think the ECU will still stop you.

There is a setting in the BCU called bathrobe locking that needs to be enabled, that allows you to start with one key,so the interior can heat up,and lockingthe vehiclewith your spare key.The central locking will work, but the alarm will be disabled.

Marius.
