where is idle control valve located?

Do a search for - stepper motor - also called - idle air control - or IAC

it's a small black electric motor with (2) small mounting screws
it's just to the right of your intake plenum (the big black rectangle on top of your engine)

If you're good with tools/mechanics you may proceed to clean it by -
disconnect battery ground
unplug connector
unscrew (2) screws (I use 7/32 socket)
DO NOT mess with or try to turn the shaft!
I spray mine with WD-40 or equiv. and scrub with toothbrush (not my own)
The hole in intake, do the same until it's clean

reinstall
