1997 Discovery Won't Start
Hi! Got a 97 Discovery with 148,000 miles proudly driven by little me (wooo hooo!)
Truck made it from VA to Boston in Oct of 07 and so far, all I have needed was a new battery around Dec. The LandRover dealership put it in since I haven't found a LR mechanic up here yet.
Truck has been doing fine (especially considering the harsh winter it has ever gone through). Went to lunch today, turned the key and all I heard was "tatatatatata" sound while the key was turned. Went back and hour later and I heard the engine struggle to start (barely) and then the "tatatatata" sound again.
The ligths work (but they also worked when the batter was out in Dec). Then when I went to lock the car, the remote didn't lock the car doors. I had to manually lock them.
Question: battery dead again (less than 12 months)? or something worst?
Help! Helena

RE: 1997 Discovery Won't Start
THANKS! Got a jump and got the battery tested at Auto Zone. It was graded as "Good; Low Charge" they said to either have it re-charged or drive down to the dealership and get a new once since it is still under the 12 month warranty. The car has started fine so far... slight sluggish the 2nd time I started it this morning... just slightly.
