Default 1998 D1 LSE Pulling Drive Shart

I am replacing the inner and outer wheel bearings in all 4 wheels. I have 3 done but I can't get to the 4th. I have a '98 D1 LSE. Its the rear passenger side, the short side of the differential. Now I can take off the 5 bolts that hold on the drive shaft but it only comes out about 5/8 inch. Do I need a puller or some sort of tool? Maybe a slide hammer? I tried by hand, pry bar and I can't get it off. What's the trick?
