Default 2000 Disco - Dead instrument cluster after start...

I have a 2000 Disco and the instrument cluster works fine, until I start it. Once the engine starts, there are no readings on the tach, coolant temp, fuel, odometer, three amigos are gone. If i turn the engine off, cluster comes back to life.

This may be related to the problem:

My headlights, high and low do not function either. Clearance lamps and signals work fine, high beams come on when I pull the lever back, but they go off as soon as I let go.

I have gone through all of the relays and fuses that i can find... All seems fine.

Any gurus out there?

Thanks in advance.
