Default 2000 Disco driving lights? switches?

I bought some Hella 500 driving lights. There is a switch on the dash that looks like a fog light switch but it doesnt light up or even stick in position when pushed. There are 3 empty blanks below it with wiring harneses in the first 2. the switch has no wores going to it....the bottom one has no wires....but the two middle blank ones do. Can i use that switch somwhow or use that ugly Hella switch.

Also this is my first Disco. what are all the switches for. The one switch in the center console area has a pic of what looks like a disco going down a hill. ANother on the right of the steering wheel looks like a road with a bar across it. dont know...guess i will need to contact the dealer or something. It didnt come with an owners manual.

The fog light switch I believe you're referring to does not detent - it simply toggles on and off. It may be your tail fogs or your front fog lights in the bottom of the bumper. The disco going down a hill is the hill descent - this allows the antilock to keep you going very slow and controlled down a steep and slow hill (I do mean steep and I do mean slow - only the type found off-road) The parallel bars are your cruise control. Invest in a manual - you will want to refer to it.
