2001 Disco II Running Hot
My '01 Disco II heated up the other day and popped one of the hoses off. Started with the thermostat, still got hot. Ordered a Water pump from Atlantic British and swapped that out today. Still doing the same thing.
What's next in the engine cooling list of things to check?

How hot is “hot”?
are you using a real time obd2 reader to monitor the engine temp?
if you’re relying on the gauge it doesn’t start moving upwards until 240 degrees. Way too hot.
if you are sure your system has no air pockets in it and it’s still running hot, thermostat, viscous fan, water pump, radiator
if the viscous fan is good and a temperature gun shows the radiator doesn’t appear blocked, I’d also do a test for combustion gases in the coolant and a cooling system pressure test to eliminate a blown head gasket.

I fill the system, run it up to 195F shut it off, let it cool down, open bleeder, fill thru bleeder, top off reservoir, and repeat one more time. Others park on an incline and run it, and then open bleeder, top off, and repeat.
