2001 Range Rover Radio
At first none of the buttons on my 2001 Range Rover radio would work and neither did the buttons on the steering wheel. It would just stay on the same radio station all the time.
I checked all my fuses and they were good. So i took the radio out of the dash and unplugged everything and checked the fuse behind the radio and that looked good also.
I plugged it back and now it wont even power on anymore.
Is my radio officially dead? Any other troubleshooting steps?
Is it cheap to repair these?[/align]

Probably dead...unfortunately.
A new unit from LR is going to run you upwards of $1000. The other option is repair. Roverville repairs all the RR radios and nav systems
. Check 'em out : http://www.roverville.us/
They can repair your unit in a day or two once you ship it out to them, or you can buy a repaired unit to replace yours! They also may be able to give you some more trouble shooting steps before you even send it off. I'd give them a call
Good luckk

When you removed the radio, you set the alarm feature on the radio and it will need to have the radio security code reinstalled. Now wether it will be any better then before, I can't say.
As for repairing it, you will find it is cheaper to buy a good guaranteed used radio then pay for the expensive repairs. Try places like,
http://www.roverlandparts.com/index....TS&Category=73 , E-Bay or your local wrecking yard.
