2003 land Rover Discovery Passenger Side Mirror

Default 2003 land Rover Discovery Passenger Side Mirror
I hit my passenger side mirror and the mirror came loose from the mirror motor plate that operates it. I tried to reattach the mirror to the mirror motor plate but I am not able to . There is no damage to the back of the mirror or mirror motor plate.

Has anyone been able to reattach the mirror to the mirror motor?

im sure you could clean it and use some epoxy. my glass broke so i'm replacing the whole mirror assembly its only $50.
