2003 Land Rover Discovery Series 2 Overheating

Default 2003 Land Rover Discovery Series 2 Overheating

Hello I have a Land Rover Discovery Series 2 that is that starts to overheat after 20-30 minutes after running the cooling system seems to be running the way it should I replaced the thermostat (which didn’t work) I can’t detect any leaks anywhere and I see no signs that would point to a blown head gasket any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Read the Discovery 2 forum on here. Plenty of discussion of all of the possible causes of D2's overheating.

Common Disco 2 overheating problems include:
Low/bad engine oil
Failing fan clutch
bad thermostat
clogged radiator or debris covering radiator fins
Low coolant
Failing waterpump
headgasket failure
