I have a 2005 LR3 with a "single door not locking” issue.

Here are the details:

When I use either the key remote or the upper dashboard door lock button, my front passenger door does not lock along with everything else. The other doors, etc. work fine, allowing me to lock/unlock as needed. However, I can see the front passenger door lock button (the button ON the door) move slightly when the key remote is pressed, or when I press the lock button on the center console (while I’m sitting in the car). So I suspect power is reaching the door. But it does not snap into the lock position like the other doors. The lock button also has some resistance when I physically push it, attempting to lock the door. It simply will not lock. On only a couple of occasions has that door locked correctly. The vast majority of times it will not, leaving the car unprotected. The alarm works. After setting the alarm, the front passenger door is not locked, so when opened, the alarm will go off. I feel that power is reaching the door lock. But the lock will not latch properly. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get this to operate correctly? Thanks in advance.
