Hello,I was wondering if anyone had had this problem,my Range Rover Sport drives about a half of a mile and then goes into limp mode where the hdc malfunction message illuminates and the transmission limited gears message illuminates, once I hard reset the battery,it will shift right and drive a half of a mile and problem occurs again,I have checked the Intergrated transmission control module and I didn't see any corrosion in the plugs, but I did not open the module and check imside,if any one can lead me in any direction it would be greatly appreciated...Thank you

Thank you for the quick response,I have put a new brake switch in early on when this first happen, and brake lights work,I just charged my battery over night, and it just drove around the block shifting fine and then the F symbol on the dash came on again,I have a code reader but I guess it isn't picking up the codes,I omhed the battery and it was 12.37 after I parked it..I filled the transmission fluid up underneath the truck.. dealer is telling me the valvebody with mechatronic "TCM" but they say they have to put that in and see what happens,I can't gamble 4200.00 on a guess, thank you for any other suggestions!!

Codes for the trans will not be readable by a basic reader, you need something more specific.
an F on the trans indicator def means a fault stored in that module.
i think you can rule out voltage, but... to test properly you start the car and turnoin every electrical gizmo possible, full load and then check the voltage at alt or battery. If below 12 you have an alt problem.
but I think you have trans issues.
looking on my phone, so not sure. If you are near so cal I can read the codes.
There is a rebuild kit for the valve body called a zip kit which is easy to follow and new soleinoids are around $600.
Swapping it is about as hard as doing a trans service, with extra time for the valve body removal.
At $4500 I could do a complete rebuild installed.

Thank you,do you have a link to the zip kit?? last question,do you think the Mechatronic computer attached to the valvebody could also cause this problem?? It's just weird that I can hardly reset the battery and it fine again, but once the codes trips it won't start until I do a hard reset, then it starts fine....
