300 TDI clutch problem
Driving home today, put the clutch in and the peddle stayed in without disenguaging the engine? managed to drive it home by starting it in gear and ramming it into each gear, any ideas guys????
Assuming you have hydraulic clutch actuation on the300 TDIsuch as the NAM Discovery and Defender90 ---then you have lost hydraulic pressure due to the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or flexible hose letting go. That's why the pedal stays on the floor, and there is no mechanical action imparted to disengage the clutch.

Hi, Geoman. Yes you are right. Somehow the slave cylinder had actually come loose and fell out. I fitted a new one and had a nightmare bleeding it but managed it in the end. Thanks anyway
