Default 99 Ranger Rover Noise Right rear

I have a 99 4.0 There is a humming noise coming from the right rear between the center of the axel and the right rear tire. Sounds like a motor noise. This occurs while sitting in park or moving. There are no air shocks on the Rover anymore, I have regular shocks. Any thoughts would be great. Almost sounds like it is coming from the gas tank.

it is quite possible it is your fuel pump on the way out, place a dowel or screwdriver on the tank with the other end to your ear while someone turn the the key on. If you have a 99 rr with gems unfortunately you have a one year only pump. I just got threw replacing mine for the third time in the last month.First i tried to rebuild it put out 18 psi, so i paid for a new one that died last week, so i just got threw putting in the warranted pump. Install and removal requires replacing one hose clamp and three nuts and two bolt, relitive easy eccept on the wallet
