Unhappy Ace Bush replacement

I have 2000 series 11 discovery the front ram bush needs replacing and want to know does the whole ram need to be removed or can it be done whilst still on vehicle. Does it need to be pressed back on the ram, live on a rural property and long drive to get help. No male to assist me. Help? Thank you

What's a trackback, new to all of this.

Maybe I have not explained this to well, It is the ace system ram that needs a new bush, ram arm is rattling and the front right wheel
is shaking. Could I still drive the vehicle without causing further damage? Hope someone can assist me.

Download a copy of the Rave CD, it will have all the information you need. As for the wheel shaking, the ram won't cause that to happen, sounds like you have 2 issues and no you shouldn't drive it.

Thanks for the response but unfortunately I have to drive the car in order to get it repaired as I am no where near any help. Checked the wheel cause I thought it was a bearing but all good. The ace system is still working fine the ram rattles slightly when driving on the rugged dirt road I live up. Also only get shaking in wheel on dirt road also? Is it worth the 100kms drive to get it repaired? Not a good situation for me, should have kept the 96 disco.

Why wouldn't you repair it, it is a lot better rig then the 96's were and a much better feature.
Try pulling the fuse on the ACE and see what changes. Get back to me.

Disco Mike you will be pleased to know that I have repaired the bush and found out that the tyre was faulty and replaced it, back on the road and a lot happier, thank you for your advice and help. Just have to update myself on all this new gear on the Disco. Women don't get treated all that well by mechanics around here and they are not very good at repairing Land rovers, they think I'm rich and dumb. Hope things will get easier.
