Another fuel pump question

Another fuel pump question
My fuel pump gave up on me and I ordered a new one online! I received it in perfect condition but upon checking it up, I notice that the one I have in my 97 discovery has a "screw on" fuel line ! The one I received has a "push on" fuel line and they don't have the one I need!
I have 2 questions:
1 Can I disassemble the old pump and re-assemble the correct fuel line to the new one?
2 Can I just re-thread the new fuel pump "push-on" fuel line?
