Default Auto tranny problem

My Range Rover 2.5 DSE 9 2.5 lt Diesel) has been fitted with a new auto transmission by the previouw owner.
After a trip in the highway I find the tranny oil dipstick popped up, seemingly from pressure built-up.
Have tried to clean the breather pipe by disconnecting it and blowing compressed air thro' but the problem is still there !
Any suggestions please, will appreciate it.

Are you sure it popped up under pressure or is it the wrong stick?

Thanks for the quick response Mike,
It's the right stick, same as shown in owner's manual.

How long must you drive it before the stick pops up. I can't believe you are running that hot that your vent tube can't handle the pressure. If I were you, I would call a mechanic and see what he says.
Let us know what happens.

Finally got around to visiting the Dealer. He said no to worry, they all do it !!
When I commented this is no good, as water spray from the road may find it's way in the tranny, he shrugged his shoulders !!
Have ordered a new dip stick, this is even looser than my old one !!
