So I test it out today and only my fron wheels are receiving power. Idk how but my 2003 land rover discovery is not pulling with the back tires at all. It has 132k miles and no engine or tranny mods. Any ideas anyone?? The shaft that goes to the back seems intact.

This is normal, It directs power to where the least resistance is. You cannot lock the transfer case like an 04.

people do swaps all the time. different year models use the same LT230 transfer box with only the minimal change in the front output of the system. In addition to acquiring the case or front output, you would also have to obtain the linkage necessary to activate it from the cab. People really make their money on that linkage and shifter setup which can cost more than another TC if you don't know where to look, i.e. scrap yard. Its not very often that you find everything you need bundled but there is one on Ebay right now.

I don't know personally, but if I needed to know right now I would first look at my owners manual, the RAVE for my year model, and then google, in that order and I would know within 20 minutes. somebody on discoweb is selling a LT230 w/ lock and the linkage. it was still available yesterday. looked like brand new ****.
