I recently just put a set of these on my truck and I thought someone shopping for tires might want to know how they are in the real world on one of our trucks. I went with 265/75/16 10 ply.

I originally went to buy a set of General AT2'S and the manager asked if I had seen these yet. I told him I wasn't really shopping around but once he started showing me the actual tire, I decided to go for it.

First and foremost I have to say I'm impressed. Even though they were more expensive than the Generals, this is a great tire.
Within hours of having them mounted I loaded up my dogs and made for the desert. I was able to try them in a variety of terrains. Loose sand. Loose gravel. Hard dirt. Bare rock. On road and highway. First of all I can't stress how much smoother and more quiet than the Yokohama MT I had on there. Now I hear all sorts of rattles I had no idea were there before.

On road they are excellent. I had them up to speeds of about 70 on asphalt and grooved concrete. They were excellent. Not really noisy for an all terrain.

I was really worried I'd be loosing a ton of traction off road switching from a mud tire to an all terrain. Not the case. Every single thing I through at this tire it did as well or better. I was running street pressure of 29 front 32 rear just as a baseline. I went up a bunch hills I have been previously stuck on no problem.

I did notice the ride was stiffer. Of course I went from a D tire to an E so I knew it was coming.

Yesterday we got some rare rain. I was able to test it on road with almost flood conditions. Wet roads were always kinda sketchy in the old TKO. The new version has full depth siping in the tread lugs. It's a world of difference. Zero hydroplane. None. Totally in control and stable. Then since it was pouring out I took it in some mud. It did really well. The mud kicked out easily and I never got stuck.

Overall I'd recommend these to anyone. I still like the Grabbers but I think these are superior. They aren't cheap but I think they are worth it.

 

I really could care less about your tire review (not a BFG fan by any means), but hot damn am I jealous that you can just "load up your dogs" and head out to a view like that.

I have been waiting to hear more about these and how they do on the RRC. I would love to see more pics of them mounted on your truck. Do you have wheels spacers, or is that a stock stance? Thanks!

 

Truck has a lift and no spacers. I'm really impressed with these tires. I'm glad I took the chance. So far I see nothing but good reviews by other buyers and testers.

 

I also just bought these tires in a 275/65/18 and the 2'' terrafirma lift (lucky 8) for my 2003 discovery. I just finished installing the lift the other night and will be installing these tires shortly. First need to get the rims powder coated black...

I look forward to trying these tires as they do have a snowflake rating and hope these are a good year round tire for Canada.

Went out again today. First a trip to the junk yard w speeds on the highway of about 80. No crazy noise. Then back up in the desert. I aired down a little to 20 in front and 25 rear. Did a range of terrains again. These tires are awesome. I bashed the sidewalls hard a few times by accident and they shook it off. Some pics:

you have got to love the early 90's when RRC came without a rear sway bar, what articulation

 

Can you post a pic of the truck in a normal position? Hard to get my head around it with your suspension all tweaked out...
