Default Brake Fluid Leak?

Hi Guys,

I left my truck parked recently overnight at a friends house and when I came back I noticed a spot on the ground that looked like water.
I took a peek and it was a clear oily substance. I can't really see anything leaking anywhere so I wanted to show the pictures and get suggestions as to what to look for.

There's got to be a leak because a) there is a spot on the ground, b) some liquid/oil on the suspension bar, and c) saw it again the other day in another spot I parked.

The brake fluid was pretty low recently and I topped it off... But I only noticed the spot AFTER I topped off the fluid.

Take a look at the images and let me know your thoughts people.

Thanks in advance!

Abran, so you mean the Fluid reservoir specifically?

the location of the stain looks like the steering box. It's the large unit that the steering shaft enters and the arm that actuates the steering rod comes out of.

Follow the powering steering pump lines to it.

But, you said clear oil, so I might be wrong. If it's brake fluid it's coming from a line and you should have some braking issues, soft pedal etc.

My guess.

Just looked at the photos on my computer, too far back to be the steering box.

Maybe try cleaning all the lines of the braking system on that side then sprinkle some talc powder around the area and see what looks wet?

Check behind the master cylinder where it attaches to the booster. When my master cylinder reservoir seals went, I was dripping from nearly the same place. Mine would leak down the master cylinder to the booster then trickle down the inner fender and onto the suspension. See if your booster is wet just below where the master bolts to it.
