I'm looking to convert my 03 Disco II to CDL. In my search I found a link to how to 2003CDLInstall - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.. On step 17 it shows removing the gear set. Is this necessary? There are other posts that say it is a straight front hub swap, no gear removal. Which is it? Straight swap or removing gear sets as well?
