sounds like a coolant outlet flange to me.
LR0 18275, while you're in there grab your water pump and see if it wiggles. If it does the bearing has play. guarantee you'll need to replace that along with a couple updated hoses. I have part numbers if you need them!

right! the water pump definitely will need replacing with the front cross coolant pipe (Y-pipe) job as well.
the rear pipe also needs to be changed out at 120k miles OR 10 years!!!! if they leak your engine will overheat and warp and is NOT rebuildable!
It happened to me so believe me! it will happen to you!
It's a big job but worth it after all. I have to find a low mile donor engine now and then do the timing chain job (16 hours of labour) as well!
So just invest in your coolant crossover pipes and the water pump, it's a fraction of the cost of what I am left with now!
That goes for ALL 5.0 V8 engines and 3.0 V6 supercharged from 2015 and younger.
Some say you need to upgrade the sealant O-rings to high temperature ones. I found the O-rings are not the problem of these plastic tubes. it's the tubes themselves that will get brittle over the years and start to crack, then leak! also our well maintained roads here in the US are accelerating this process and or if you go off-road of course!
