So you see there's a bit of corrosion on your battery to starter terminal but aren't too concerned about it?

I was doing some cleaning in the garage today and found the old battery to starter cable that I pulled out of my wife's '97 Discovery we bought last year.

Here's the terminal.


But it's worse than it looks. This is the inside of the cable 6" from the terminal.


It pays to carefully inspect them periodically and before you have issues.
