Default Curry smell in Cabin

My wife has a freelander 2002 model. It is suffering from a curry smell in the cabin.

The dealers flushed the air con. This worked for a while, because I think the chemical smell was hiding the curry smell.

Can someone shed some light.

Thanks
Nick

Heater core is leaking. Usually described as a sweet or honey smell.

Yes. I agree it is probably the heater core. I just had a 99 Range Rover with what my husband and I call a syrup smell. We also had blown head gaskets.
