Default D1 Transfer Case Difference in Auto and Manual

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the LT230 case between an automatic and manual transmission?

Reviewing the RAVE, I thought I read that there is a difference.....???

The Auto version has a lockout solenoid on it. Functionally they are interchangable. Right now I have one from an R380 on my wife's '97 which is an automatic.
If it's from a Defender the speedometer gear is a different ratio, but interchangeable.

Plus over the years, Rover has made changes to improve seal, oil flow and gears to correct gear noise.
If you want one of the more quiet models make sure it is a LT 230Q.

Thanks, then it is an easy transition. I did find a "Q" and it is off of a automatic actually...
