Defender gold and green fobs
For 1995 to 1998 model year Defenders, Land Rover dealers used to sell an add on immobiliser kit with a spider ecu and a set of plastic fobs; one gold and two green. After fitting the spider and an aerial lead for it, you held the gold fob over the circular capsule on the end of the lead from the spider and listened for a number of bleeps. As soon as you heard these, you would hold the green fobs one at a time over the capsule so that they would be programmed from the gold fob. The capsule is fitted behind any suitable area of non metal trim so that it was out of sight. I never go around to fitting it all together (it's a long story) but now I have completed it, I am not getting any bleeps when any of the fobs are held over the aerial capsule.
Has anyone else got this system ? And is there a way of getting it up and running ?
