Hi folks- I'm hoping someone can ID what part I'm missing or the problem I'm having with my front door so that I can order & get it fixed. After a week of being borrowed by my brother, the truck came back with the driver's side front door swinging fast & heavily open instead of the normal slowly measured open I'm used to. Does that make sense? W/O this mystery part, it's a nightmare opening the door in tight spots & parking lots- it just flings open.

I'd be SO grateful if someone could ID what the problem is & where I can get a repair part.

Its called a door stay or door stop.
I do not know if you can buy them new by themselves or not.
