Disco on LPG
Hi everyone. I'm a 2nd yr apprentice Gas fitter and mechanic. I work for a company on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia that specialises in LPG conversions on all sorts of vehicles. My boss has asked me to see if I can find out if anyone else is having problems with Land Rovers on LPG, as he knows I'm a regular member on another forum.
The problem we are having involves a 1999 series 2 Discovery 4litre V8. It has developed Block Learn Memory since being converted in that when you switch back from LPG to petrol, it starts droping cylinders.
We have tried changing gas computers, now using AEB, tried relays and diodes, but non of this has helped. Has anyone else had this or similar problems? Is there a way to fix it......short of using an FBH (F*@#ing Big Hammer)? We have converted other Discovery's and had no problems, or non that we couldn't sort out, but this one really has us scratching our heads, including our boss who has over 30yrs experiance in LPG!!
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
