I was driving my hubby's Land Rover Discovery 2 when it suddenly lost its forward drive, 3,2,1. Only reverse is functioning well. On the dash were blinking green m & s. I did turned off ignition, let it cool for a while but still no drive. I decided to go home in reverse since its just barely 2 kms from home. Question: will Disco 2 tranny be broken for what I did, was it wrong? I'm worried my hubby will get mad

What year is your Disco?
It sounds like a possible bad Electronic Automatic Transmission ECU/TCU or XYZ switch. Or both.
