Question Discovery II Headlights suddenly dim no high beams

I bought a 2000 Discovery Series II about a month ago and it has had no problems until today when I realized there was water in the sidelight and the blinker wasn't working so I fixed that and then I realized that the headlights were really dim and that the high beams weren't working at all ( I couldn't switch from high to low). I'm assuming its some kind of electrical thing but I have no idea what to do and I don't think it was caused by me taking out the sidelight. I was wondering if anyone can help me or has any idea what this could be and what I should do.
Thanks! -Kari

You need to clean your connections and back track, find your head lights ground and clean it also.
